October 24, 2024
ARICA – Assessing Risk Indicators of Child Sexual Abuse

Leiden, The Netherlands, December 5-6 2024

Child sexual abuse is a complex and harmful crime type that requires multi-sector collaboration to address. In 2023, the Child Sexual Abuse Reduction Research Network was launched with the aim of bringing together scholars, practitioners, government agencies, and private and not-for-profit organizations from around the world to develop new and multi-disciplinary approaches to addressing this crime type.

The network will be hosting its 2nd annual Workshop in Leiden, The Netherlands on December 5-6, 2024, which will involve presentations from leading researchers and practitioners from around the world. The workshop will cover a wide range of relevant topics, including understanding offender behaviour patterns and pathways, new investigatory methods and approaches, artificial intelligence and machine learning, the use of offender-based interventions and prevention initiatives, as well as the provision of support to victim-survivors.
