The eFirst 2.0 training package, aimed at Law Enforcement first responders without
IT expertise, incorporates a revised Online Child Sexual Exploitation (OCSE)
module, developed by the European Cybercrime Training and Education Group
(ECTEG) in cooperation with the GRACE Project, Europol and UNODC Cybercrime.
With an overview of emerging trends and a holistic yet ‘digital’ approach to
investigating these cases, the focus is on the initial instances: helping victims and
their families, securing digital evidence, and recognising digital traces that may lead
to identifying the offenders as early as possible. The module is linked to the various
training sections, looking to cover new technologies and e-evidence best practices
wholly.
As of November 2024, the product’s new 2.0 version in English will be available for
all Law Enforcement Authorities in Europe. Translations in other languages are
expected soon after. If you are part of the LEA training community, request the
materials.
