Protect Us: A Wake-Up Call for Action

January 24, 2025
WeProtect – Global Alliance

We Protect Global Alliance has released Protect Us, a compelling short film that reveals how generative AI is being weaponised to exploit children online. This powerful resource sheds light on the growing dangers posed by emerging technologies and the urgent need for unified action to protect children and young people.

WeProtect Protect Us

Generative AI has revolutionised the creation of hyper-realistic text, images, audio, and video, transforming the digital world. However, it has also opened up devastating pathways for harm. Predators are harnessing these technologies to:

  • Create fake but convincing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
  • Groom and manipulate children through online interactions.
  • Exploit digital platforms with far-reaching consequences for young lives.

Every year, 300 million children experience online sexual exploitation. Without immediate action, these numbers will only continue to rise. The film shares stories based on real cases to underscore the gravity of the crisis, offering a powerful call to global leaders, tech companies, and individuals to take decisive steps to prevent harm.

💬 “Millions of children are living through stories just like ours. You can stop this. You have the power to make change before it’s too late. Protect us.”
