Funded by the European Commission and working closely with Europol-EC3 and CEPOL, ECTEG develops training materials for digital investigations and fighting cybercrime, while supporting international activities to harmonise cybercrime training across borders.

One of its flagship projects, eFirst (a self-paced e-learning package focusing on essential IT forensics and IT crime knowledge), includes a module on digital CSAM/CSE, created in cooperation with the GRACE Project, aimed at first-line police officers without IT expertise who daily face these cases.

Other ECTEG course materials (Live Data Forensics, Digital Forensic Investigator, Decrypt) can be listed as part of the capacity-building efforts ensuring training on combatting the CSA criminal phenomenon. In addition, due to the nature of the organisation, ECTEG can be considered a sustainable path for projects that have worked on CSAE-related training materials for LEAs.
