Sparks Community Unites to Raise Awareness on Child Protection – a Summary

December 13, 2024

Almost a month ago, we came together in support of the World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Violence. Through this collaborative effort, we successfully reached thousands with an important message.

It is truly inspiring to see how our emerging community has grown and how powerful our collective action has become. Despite Sparks being founded less than a year ago, we are already witnessing the significant influence of our efforts. We are proud not only to support the European Commission in promoting its funding of vital initiatives and helping various projects disseminate their results, but also to raise awareness about the critical threats facing children worldwide.

In honour of the World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Violence, we aimed to demonstrate how versatile and holistic our movement is. As part of the coordinated campaign, many initiatives shared informative slides detailing how they contribute to countering child sexual abuse and exploitation, in alignment with the European strategy to protect children from criminals.

Here is the combined presentation of the campaign.

Thanks to our joint efforts, we successfully reached thousands through our social media channels, raising awareness not only about the ongoing threats but also about the positive actions being taken to address them. We are deeply grateful to ARICA, 2PS, CESAGRAM, CSAPE, CYCLOPES, STOP-CSAM, ECTEG, AI for Safer Children Initiative, and European Commissioner Ylva Johansson for their invaluable support in this campaign.
