The Polish Platform for Homeland Security (PPHS) is a vigorous team of professionals and experts in the security domain, providing project management, training and professional services. We coordinate initiatives, organise events, conduct communication and dissemination activities, share knowledge and expertise and work to overcome our partners’ various challenges.
PPHS was established in 2005 as a joint agreement between the Polish Police, universities and research institutes to accelerate the introduction of innovations in uniformed services. Over the years, the cooperation has expanded to include new institutions and a broader scope of actions.
Today, we are an increasingly-known non-profit organisation, whose mission is to increase the level of security in Poland and Europe. We achieve this goal by strengthening the competencies of LEAs and public institutions and facilitating cooperation between all actors relevant to enhancing European civil security.
PPHS strives to become a leading voice in the security domain within Poland and a trusted partner for designing and implementing initiatives that make Europe safer for citizens.
Thanks to the partnerships shaped between practitioners and the representatives of academia, we are able to support and accelerate the development of modern tools and technologies, as well as legal and organisational solutions aimed at increasing the level of internal security.
Going above and beyond is our work philosophy. We constantly endeavour to bring value to our partners, offer innovative approaches, and produce state-of-the-art outcomes. If you are looking for a trustworthy partner in the security domain, and you are passionate to make a difference, please reach out to cooperate!
The legal form of the Polish Platform for Homeland Security is an association registered in the National Court Register.
At PPHS, we stand as partners in safeguarding children. Our initiatives focus on preventing and countering abuse while raising awareness of the need for whole system approaches that consider all angles. We can only create a safer environment for the next generation by working together.
We coordinate the 2PS Project and CYCLOPES. We are also a work package leader in the ARICA project.
Projects We coordinate, lead work packages and perform tasks in European and national projects in multiple programmes, i.a.: HORISON, ISF, JUST, DIGITAL, Active Citizens. Since 2006 we have been involved in dozens of such initiatives.
Communication and Dissemination We help in dissemination and communication activities by connecting initiatives with relevant stakeholders and by producing content that is designed to introduce and promote the initiative itself and its results.
Training PPHS organises security-related training modules that are used by public and private institutions. Topics range from cybersecurity and data protection in relation to the GDPR to family mediation and preventing radicalisation.
Expertise We cooperate with a dedicated team of over 25 experts and subject matter specialists who participate in PPHS’s work by actively engaging and contributing to actions and helping guide the dialogue in line with pressing needs faced daily by practitioners.
